Universal Laws of Attraction

What are the universal laws of attraction? Like attracts like.

Scientifically like attracts like through magnetism, the electromagnetic field. Quantum Physics is bringing the gap between science and spirituality. Showing us that even in science there is some mystery and that some of the tenants held to be spiritual are now being theorized by scientists

In a Nutshell, the Universal Law of Attraction says that the thoughts you think and the feelings you have associated with these thoughts cause vibrations that attract people, things and events into our lives. The steps seem pretty easy.

  •     Know what you want and why.
  •     Ask the universe for it.
  •     Feel and behave as if the object of your desire is on its way.
  •     Let go and be open to receiving it the outcome but not attached to it.

Simple right?  “Ask and ye shall receive” or from a psychological point of view it’s a version of the self-fulfilling prophecy.  So it’s easy - WHY aren’t we all living the lives we want?

Values, Beliefs, Negative Thinking and Habits.

We believe we don’t deserve the life we want

We have limiting and conflicting ideas and thoughts about what we “should” do and not do.

We aren’t consistent; we have bad habits that we don’t want to stop doing.
We’re consumed with wanting it and being frustrated in not having it and seeing the “facts” of our “real” lives and how different they are from the “fantasies” in our heads.

Whatever you believe is your truth. And change, even success, can be frightening. We often want to predict and control how we’re going to get from where we are today to where we desire to be. And we want to follow others who have gone there before in the hopes that there’s a short cut for us. Maybe if I do exactly what this other person did I’ll have the exact same results…

My journey with the Universal Laws of Attraction

We CAN learn from other people’s journeys and we can be supported and encouraged when we hear of others successes. But ultimately, you’re success and your definition of what success even looks like - is up to you. Other people, including myself, can help you but only you can take consistent action to change your life.

As I’ve been studying and putting the universal laws of attraction into my life, I’ve found some things that have been very helpful on my journey.

I started with the book “Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting : The Astonishing Power of Feelings” by Lynn Grabhorn. She explains the law of attraction really well and her writing style is entertaining.

Next was “Ask and it’s Given” by Jerry Hicks and Esther Hicks . Have you ever stood in front of a section in a bookstore and known there was a book there in the stacks that you really needed to read. And you pick up dozens of books and you say to yourself “Well it sounds really interesting but it’s just not exactly what I’m looking for right now.” That’s what happened to me. And when I finally gave up - I knew I wasn’t going to find what I was looking for that day. That’s when I saw this book and it really. Then I started listening to Esther Hicks audio tapes, and I even found a friend that worked with me who had a bunch of the CDs and was willing to loan them to me.

This year, the single best thing I’ve encountered working with the law of attraction is the Wealth Beyond Reason program. Bob Doyle started this program and it’s really worthwhile. The program contains not only the single best book I’ve ever read in my life “A Happy Pocketful of Money” but also a tremendously large group of resources. But what I liked best about the Wealth Beyond Reason program was it addresses our barriers and gives us ways to overcome them. I truly feel blessed to have stumbled onto this program and I plan to be incorporating into my life for years to come.
