Love Poems For Valentine

Please enjoy another one of my love poems.

Swimming Through Love
Cry with me
Rubbing your softness into my skin
Let us blend our tears together
Concocting wet sunshine
To flash across our years
Let your fingers trace
And let your lips erase all the pain
Swim with me
In wet desire
And may the juices flow
From one love to another love
So that we may drink and taste the wine of one another
And let us be drunk on love
Feasting on the meat
Of each others pure heart
And let us dance in the others dreams
While the bright moon of paradise
Shines on this night of our love
And may the sun rise
Upon our bodies entwined
Like rope, like bread, like a thread
Unbroken
By our long time...
Apart

That love poem, again, builds a tight connection to nature. Some of my poetry has been compared to Pablo Neruda for this reason. I am not trying to pat myself on the back (or maybe I am!) but I like the comparison, certainly. I also like blending nature and romantic themes. It's just the right combination for my particular brand of love poems.

Sad love poems

If you're in the mood for sad love poems then you'll appreciate these next couple of love poems. Take it from my favorite book... Blurry Joy: Poems of Love and Celebration

Silence
In this silence I love you.
And with this silence I give to you.
In spite of this silence I cherish you.
But still the silence; I don't understand you.
Because of this silence I come to you;
Embraced in silence I hold you.
I've never known such silence, yet it speaks to me.
For with this silence I long to be.
Talk to me in silence.
Speak to me without words of understanding.
Let me not mistake this silence for neglect,
For your silence is love
In your own way,
And in your own
Guarded heart.

The Birth of Our Love
I smile at the birth of our love.
Because my lips remember innocence,
And how hope shined.
Poems, park benches, a picnic basket,
And an ocean view.
These were our deliberation.
And then the fleeting touch,
The hand,
And our first kiss.
That was when your lips met me,
And after,
Remembered me for a time.
But now they do not speak,
They do not speak, they do not speak
My name.
But I remember.
You wore suede boots.
There were clouds in the sky,
Sunshine in our bellies,
And boats with sails upon the water.
We blushed, we laughed,
We talked and dreamed,
Walking on that pier.
Come near, come near,
To me once again,
And let your lips remember.

Sad love poems are similar to most other love poems in that they celebrate your loved one, but these types of poems carry with them the end of a relationship. They are special. Sad love poems are a just another part of that magical thing called love.

A love poem: Sunday Morn

For now though, here's a different twist. Imagine going to church with your loved one, but you can't concentrate on the sermon! I wrote this next love poem driving to the church and right through the message. I love this one. It's called Sunday Morn. Here goes:

The broad dark sky was tree-lined,
Such a vast expanse of gray.
Clouds they were, spilling rain,
On a Sunday morn, but there was no field of corn.
Only Black asphalt paved the way
To the steepled roof, where people knelt to pray
And sing as they did, with hands outstretched
Voices aloft,
Weeping.
And the man with gestures
Spoke and walked to and fro
Extrapolating certain meaning
From the small words in the big book.
Alters were built,
And should be built, he said,
As I held your hand.
Wells were dug and wells are good,
He said,
As I recalled the rain
Then drew an imaginary ring on your finger,
Smiling,
Hoping that it would not wash away in the rain.
This world is unkind,
Said the nice gesturing man,
And I think that he is right

Poems of Gratitude

Open Your Heart To Receive True, Unlimited Abundance and Success

Reading or writing poems of gratitude opens our hearts to receive abundance in many forms.

They can make you feel better instantly. You cannot express thanks to a friend or the Universe without getting immediate results.

Learning to adopt a gratitude psychology on a regular basis is as important as eating healthy foods or exercising. Practicing gratitude awareness should be a daily, moment by moment experience. We don't have to wait until Thanksgiving to write a poem of gratitude.

Some people express prayers for gratitude right before they go to bed at night. Others express their thanks before each meal. When you live with gratitude, your heart often explodes with joy.

Morsels of Gratefulness by Harvey Rosenburg

When life seems destitute,
and beats you upside down,
morsels of gratefulness loosen,
a smile from a frown.

Being grateful costs nothing,
it's yours for free.
Look all around you
for your Gratefulness Inventory.

You get to choose your grateful ways,
it's up to you to say:
"Do I focus on my meager lacks,
or be thankful one more day?"
If you crave inner peace,
and are fed up with war;
choose gratefulness as the bedrock
of your loving inner core.

How do we make our lives poems of gratitude?

Each of us has the ability to make our life a poem of gratitude. Each moment of the day we choose which thoughts and feelings we focus upon.

Notice I said we choose. No one makes you choose one thought or feeling over another thought, though emotions often get in the way and cloud your attempts at making our lives poems of gratitude.

One way to begin to make your life a poem of gratitude is by not letting your feelings manipulate you all the time.

Feelings come and go; feelings of well being vanish in a moment when a doom and gloom thought passes through your mind.

Then you often feel worse and find yourself beating yourself up for something you did or didn't do. In other words, you make matters worse by how you talk to yourself.

When you become a thought warrior and deepen self-love, you let those low self-esteem thoughts fly on by without believing them and without adding fuel to the fire of the feelings.

When we're able to nurture the attitudes and beliefs in life that empower us and make us loving, kind, compassionate people, then we begin to make our lives poems of gratitude.

According to M.J. Ryan in Attitudes of Gratitude...

"One way to generate gratitude is by a conscious decision to practice looking at what's right in our lives, rather than focusing on what's missing."

The more we follow M.J. Ryan's advice, the more our lives become poems of gratitude. It actually becomes easier to do this after you start noticing the feeling results you get by focusing on what's missing in your life: pain, misery, sadness, loneliness, heartache, jealousy and the like.

A dear friend of mine once stated that his spiritual teacher had told him: "Know it for certain, that everything that comes to you is in your own best spiritual interests."

Not always easy to remember and practice, but expressing love and gratitude regularly make it easier.

 A Poem of Gratitude:
Look Within to Find Gratefulness

Every moment I dance madly
in Your Love and gratitude
You show me Truth: like divine happiness,
all my answers are within.

Not above in the stars and sky,
nor in books and poems,
only in the writings of Your heart
do I get the chance to dance madly in Your Love.

You gift me with gratitude,
You attract me to go within,
to give up what no longer works
and swim in the ocean of Your Grace.

Poems of gratitude need not be masterful works of art. In fact, they don't even have to be poems! The point is to find a way to express your most authentic, heartfelt gratitude for whatever it is that you find significant. Do it in the way that feels the most real for you, like Deb did...

Some Beautiful Words Of Gratitude
Submitted By Deb

To be grateful to me is wanting to thank the universe for all I have and all that I have wished for.

I asked for a healthy and happy family and money to pay bills, and I have that. I wish for my Children to grow up and have happy, healthy and fulfilling lives in what ever they wish and want to do. I wish for my husband to be happy and fulfilled in his everyday life and grateful for the opportunities he has had.

Most of all I am grateful that we have LOVE and PEACE with us always. I know that this is not a poem, but it is what my heart is saying. Thanks for reading.

Uncover and Eliminate Limiting Beliefs

If you want your life to be a poem of gratitude, you must pounce on the negative, life draining, energy sucking thoughts as quickly as you switch channels on your remote. When you focus on what's right in your life, you make an immediate connection to the Creator and feel good instantly.

No other attitude brings inner peace so rapidly and consistently. You can practice being thankful and writing poems of gratitude whenever you wish.

I wish you great success in making your life read like Poems of Gratitude. Being grateful is perhaps the single most important attitude you can live with.

A Success Poem Inspiring You to Make Your Life Precious

A success poem follows that is meant to show you the possibilities of feeling good about yourself. The secret of law of attraction is to raise your vibration.

When you make your life precious, you activate the secret of the law of attraction as you become more in tune with the natural laws of the universe.

Most of us spend so much time beating ourselves up, we forget the need to accept and honor ourselves when we're feeling good about ourselves.

When is the last time you made yourself a success meal? A meal just to honor and be thankful for all the success you already have?

Or have you written any poems of gratitude or gone on a gratitude walk to share your thankfulness for the abundance already existing in your life?

The more you express gratefulness, the more you attract success, and your life becomes like a success poem.

When you make your life precious, you are a living example of a success poem come to life.

Writing a success poem about yourself isn't arrogance or being a braggart. It's simply recognizing our good qualities and seeing how we've healed. It makes our life more precious and is worth doing.

I wrote the following success poem in 2003. I was feeling comfortable with myself, content with my life, happy with how I was caring for myself.

I was more and more my own person. I was listening less to the masses and mass media. And my self-image was authentic. Didn't have a need for self-esteem improvement, as mine was soaring.

I was trusting myself and learning how to raise self-esteem. It was as though I was a living success quote.

In other words, the following success poem shows how good I was feeling about myself and my abilities to make my life worthwhile.

It was around this time, or shortly before, that I studied to become a life and success coach. I had helped people for years in the role of a personal development coach.

Basically, I listened, asked them questions, and offered feedback for their consideration, which seemed to come effortless and naturally to me. I never thought I'd someday get paid for being a success and abundance coach.

I hope you enjoy the following success poem called

Making My Life Precious

When I carry myself as a jewel cradled gently and securely
in outstretched hands two feet from my heart, I care for myself.

A soft smile rips through every fiber of my being.

I am nurtured and safeguarded in a womb of love.

My bounce carries me into a friendly world, for I befriend myself as no one else can.

I shower love upon myself, some might say selfishly, yet wise ones congratulate me.

I nourish a deep, intimate relationship with myself and then others.

I am my best friend.

I honor, respect, and accept my needs as mine. And I learn to take care of them as no one else can.

I seek help as needed, whether it be a massage, a warm shoulder, a piece of vegan chocolate cake with thick frosting that melts sensuously between spaced teeth.

As I attune myself to needs crying for attention,
I walk tall, head high, spine straight.

My whole being dances to the music of my heart and recognizes that my love for myself allows me to serve others.

I walk or run or fly away from situations dangerous to my spirit and soul.

I engage less in the game to please others and recognize more when
I flee my own body to be a nice guy and go along with the crowd because
I am fogging out and that is the easiest route.

Now, I strive to choose what I want from life, moment by moment,
without of course knowing for certain what life will give me unannounced, unasked for, unanticipated. That is another story.

I remind myself, "This is your precious life, Harvey, how are you spending it"?

When I know what I want, whether it be goals or feelings or tastes of being,
I improve my chances for present moment to moment contentment,
which allows me to die any given time, knowing I have lived.

Can you die this moment, at peace with your life?

If no, mount your horse and ride towards the sunset of your dreams, wants, desires so your heart can content-mentize itself now.

I look into the mirror of life and am grateful for its reflection.
